SAOR Fall Teen Program

Our Fall Teen program is a powerful holistic wellness program for girls in grades 7-8. We will have 2 sessions, running October - December. Join us for one or both.

Session 1: Wildly You

October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

  • Week 1 – Wildy You: Cultivating curiosity in who we are versus what we have and what we do. Learning how to unfold “who am I?” to help ground us based on an understanding that “we are enough just as we are”, and to instill confidence to embark on our own journey.  Establishing a foundation with mindfulness and movement to appreciate the power in holding space for ourselves and taking up space in the world.

  • Week 2 – Meeting Yourself: Owning who we are as we continue to learn, evolve and shift by connecting with our powerful minds. We begin to understand and appreciate the impact of our thoughts and self-talk, recognizing our role and learning how to release what is not serving us. Practicing opening our minds to possibility by removing limiting beliefs, and knowing that we have the ability to shift our thoughts to ones that empower us.

  • Week 3 – Hearing Your Heart: Feel the feelings. Our heart is the pathway to understanding our emotions. When we take the time to feel emotions fully, they can empower us. Together we will give ourselves permission to feel, creating space for the wide range of emotions within, and play with tools that will help us work through them. It is in this vulnerability that we will find strength and the ability to shift our emotions and not stay stuck.

  • Week 4 - Noticing Your Needs: It is from this place of self-awareness and self-advocacy that we can show up more fully for those around us. What’s the difference between wants and needs? What tools are available to help us get clear on what we need? How do we prioritize our needs? What lights us up to be the truest version of ourselves?

  • Week 5 – Personality Potential: Recognizing the various personality archetypes, the characteristics within each, and how they land with us. Exploring the traits that inspire us and learning how we can cultivate them within us. If we can see qualities we admire in others, they already exist within us, and we can amplify these traits by developing and nurturing them, removing the layers that block our true qualities from shining through.

Session 2: Wildly Being

November 5 - December 3

  • Week 1 – Soul Searching: We all have an inner wisdom and, when we listen, it reminds us to support ourselves first. We will explore tools and tactics of self-care, allowing us to guard our energy and come from a place of knowing that everything we need is within.

  • Week 2 – Connecting with Others and Thriving Friendships: surrounding ourselves with humans who light us up and inspire us. How do we experience friendship? How have our friendships evolved? What does a supportive friendship look like? How can we show up as a good friend?

  • Week 3 – Leadership: Everyone can lead! Introverts, extroverts—we all belong! Leaders at the front are just as important as those who support from the back and those who complete the container from the side. We will explore leadership styles, where we default, and how we can “try on” new ways of leading.

  • Week 4 – Dream Big: Instilling confidence to listen to our own voice and practice amplifying it to the world. Diving deeper than feelings to “what do I need to support my best self” and begin planting seeds (ideas). Exploring tools and tactics available to nurture and grow these “seeds” to reach dreams and achieve goals. Experience the truth that is the belief that: “Everything we need is already within us.” We will explore and discover this truth together.

  • Week 5 – In Action: Taking all we practiced into our future world. Create our plan to prioritize our own growth, beyond the expectations of others, in order to be our best selves, our authentic selves and our whole selves. The path ahead will have bumps, so time and again we come back to our tools and meet ourselves with compassion, resilience and effort. And an understanding that moments which may feel like “failure”, are simply opportunities for continued growth and self-discovery.
