SAOR Tween Program

Our Winter Tween Program is a holistic wellness experience designed specifically for girls in Grades 4-6. Guided by SAOR trainers - and fellow moms of past tweens - Susanna and Lindsay, this series offers a supportive space for girls to explore who they are and what they’re capable of becoming.

Each 90-minute weekly session blends mindful movement, meditation, and guided journaling to help participants connect with themselves and each other. Drawing on practices we use on our mats at SAOR, this program gives girls tangible tools to carry with them through their teenage years.

UNIQUELY YOU:

  • Week 1 – Uniquely You
    This week we explore who we are at our core - beyond what we do or what we have. Together, we’ll sit with the question “Who am I?” and reconnect with the truth that we are already enough. Through mindfulness and movement, we’ll practice holding space for ourselves and feeling confident taking up space in the world.

    Week 2 – Our Powerful Minds
    As we continue to learn and evolve, our minds become one of our greatest allies. This week, we’ll notice how our thoughts and self-talk shape our experiences. We’ll gently release what no longer serves us and begin choosing thoughts that support, uplift, and empower possibility.

    Week 3 – Hearing Our Hearts
    Our hearts often know what our minds cannot yet articulate. This week invites us to truly feel our feelings, fully and without judgment. By creating space for our emotions, we uncover the strength and clarity that come from vulnerability. We’ll explore tools that help us move through emotions rather than stay stuck in them.

    Week 4 – Honouring Our Bodies
    Our bodies hold immense wisdom. This week, we’ll practice listening closely to what they’re telling us. We’ll learn what it feels like to honour our needs, protect our energy, and stand tall with confidence. Together, we’ll explore self-care practices that remind us that everything we need is already within.

    Week 5 – Personality Potential
    This week, we discover the qualities within us that inspire us. By exploring personality archetypes, we’ll notice traits in others that resonate because they already live inside us. We’ll learn how to nurture these qualities, peel back the layers, and allow our most authentic selves to shine through.

  • Week 1 – Noticing Our Needs
    We begin by building self-awareness so we can show up more fully in our lives and for the people around us. Together, we’ll explore the difference between wants and needs, learn tools to understand what truly supports us, and practice prioritizing what lights us up so we can be our most authentic selves.

    Week 2 – Connecting with Others & Thriving Friendships
    This week, we look at the friendships that shape us. We’ll reflect on how we experience connection, how our friendships have evolved, and what supportive relationships really look like. We’ll also explore how we can show up as the kind of friend who inspires, encourages, and uplifts.

    Week 3 – Leadership
    Leadership belongs to all of us - introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between. This week, we’ll explore different leadership styles, notice where we naturally land, and “try on” new ways of leading. We’ll celebrate the truth that leading from the front, back, or side are all equally powerful contributions.

    Week 4 – Dream Big
    This week invites us to listen to our inner voice and begin amplifying it with confidence. We’ll go deeper into understanding what supports our best selves and start planting the seeds of ideas, goals, and dreams. Together, we’ll explore tools that help us nurture those seeds and step into the belief that everything we need is already within us.

    Week 5 – In Action
    Now we take everything we’ve practiced and bring it into our everyday lives. We’ll create personal plans that honour our growth and keep us aligned with who we truly are. As we move forward, we’ll meet challenges with compassion, resilience, and curiosity—remembering that moments that feel like failure are simply opportunities for deeper learning and self-discovery.
